The Legionnaires’ disease – Annual Epidemiological Report for 2015 has been released. It highlights that around half of Legionella infections reported in the UK continue to be contracted abroad.
Employers should have in place workplace risk assessments for Legionella and a written scheme, including an emergency response procedure, that takes these factors into account in the investigation and response process.
