HSE focused inspections on hazardous dust

12 October 2017 · 1 min read · S7 Media

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched its latest round of focused inspections, targeting exposure to hazardous substances such as construction dust.

HSE inspectors will visit building projects to focus on respirable silica dust, wood dust and asbestos. An under-estimated health hazard, construction dust is a significant cause of harm, and the HSE is looking for an improvement in assessment and control.

First Environment assists employers in assessing exposure to workplace dust – through site inspection and measurement – and the controls that can be applied.
